Gnarly Barley Brew Festival, presented by Shock Top, will be at Larimer County Fair Saturday, August 7, at The Ranch in Loveland, where pouring will begin at 1 p.m. The Brew Festival will be an afternoon of live music, and the sampling of over 60 craft brews, all for a great cause. A portion of every ticket purchased will go towards Loveland’s House of Neighborly Service. Fair-goers attending Gnarly Barley should prepare for an array of local and national brew tastes, including Colorado ‘Home Grown’ Budweiser, New Belgium, Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewing, Boulder Beer Company and for the first time to the Festival, Boston Beer Company. Gnarly Barley will include brew sampling, food and beer pairing, and People’s Choice Award voted on by Gnarly Barley attendees. The judging for the homebrew competition will take place at the Holiday Inn Express in Loveland. Admission for Gnarly Barley is $15 and includes a souvenir mug and six sampling tokens. Additional tokens will be available for only $1. Anyone 21 years of age and older may participate in the beer sampling and enjoy a wide variety of craft beers by local and nationally acclaimed breweries. The musical acts for the event include local favorites Watertower, Archie Funker, Josh Blackburn and Steve Haven and the Mad Cow Posse. |
