A physician, police officer and school counselor will provide information on “Sex, Drugs and Texting” at the Women and Wellness Series at McKee Conference and Wellness Center.

The event is open to students in 7^th through 10^th grades accompanied by their parents.

Presenters for the evening are:

•  Dr. Karla Loken, an obstetrician/gynecologist with McKee Center for Women’s Health. Dr. Loken is a Loveland native and Thompson Valley High School graduate. Her practice involves obstetrics as well as gynecologic surgery and preventative care for women. She has spoken to many high school classes about sex education, sexually transmitted diseases and safe behaviors.
• Denise Martinchick is a school resource officer for the Loveland Police Department and works in the Bill Reed and Conrad Ball middle schools. She started with Mountain View High School. In addition, Officer Martinchick is a defensive tactics/self defense/ground fighting instructor for the police department. She is a background investigator and a Crisis Intervention Team coach.
• Linda Videll is a guidance counselor at Mountain View High School and is a strong advocate and counselor for the Thompson School District. She received her master’s degree from Azusa Pacific in California and has been in counseling for 11 years.
