Haggard Talks Temptation at Lifetree Café
(Loveland, Colorado) – Disgraced pastor Ted Haggard reveals his struggle with temptation in an exclusive filmed interview for Lifetree Café on Sunday, September 26 at 7 pm and Tuesday, September 28 at noon and 7 pm.
Haggard, former pastor of a large Colorado Springs church and president of the National Association of Evangelicals, was removed from his positions after an incident with a male prostitute in 2006.
In the interview, Haggard tells about events in his past that may have contributed to his temptation. And he describes the characteristics of temptation that he believes make every person vulnerable. He also reveals what has helped him since the scandal.
Haggard has returned to Colorado Springs and formed a new church.
Lifetree Café representative Craig Cable said the event, titled “Temptation: Why Good Men Go Bad” features Haggard’s story as an example of how temptation works, how to guard against it, and how to recover from a fall into temptation.
“Temptation affects people every day,” Cable said. “It may result in an affair, or a crime, or overeating, or simply saying something unkind. It’s a very common problem, with some very common-sense solutions.”
Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Snacks and beverages are available. Lifetree Café is located in Loveland at 1515 Cascade Avenue (the east end of the Group Publishing building, at the corner of West Eisenhower and Cascade Avenue).
Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation on life and faith in a casual coffeehouse-type setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Craig Cable at (970) 292-4138 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . |
